RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Several road closures and “no parking” zones will be in place this weekend for Richmond’s annual race celebrating movement, culture and community, Run Richmond 16.19.
The course will take participants through Richmond’s historic Jackson Ward neighborhood and past several iconic city staples, including the Black History Museum and Culture Center of Virginia, Tredegar Ironworks, the Amanda Gorman sound installation and vibrant street art.
The cultural running event will close several streets on Saturday, Sept. 3, beginning at 3 a.m. This includes 14th St. or Mayo Bridge, portions of East Main Street, several streets in Shockoe Bottom, the T.
