SAN DIEGO — COVID-19 cases are rising in San Diego County, and doctors warn the virus is here to stay. Despite the pandemic being classified as over, the latest county data shows a gradual increase in cases, with hundreds of individuals requiring hospitalization.
“We’re already seeing an uptick in cases; I look at it every day, we’re going up slowly every day,” said Dr. Ahmed Salem, a pulmonary physician at Sharp Memorial Hospital.
