A major crash on the Westside of San Antonio is taking the “rush” out of rush hour Thursday afternoon, September 10. The incident has shutdown all lanes of Highway 90, pushing drivers heading home for the evening onto the access road.
Live cameras from the Texas Department of Transportation show backed up vehicles being forcibly pushed off Highway 90 at the Seaworld exit. The state agency reported the major collision just before Highway 151/ The wreck was confirmed at around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon, and there’s no word on how long the wreck will wreak havoc on evening traffic in San Antonio.
This has led to a long line of red stretching along Highway 90 from Highway 151 all the way east to Interstate 10, indicating roughly 15 miles of bumper to bumper traffic along the access roads of westbound Highway 90 and folks make their way home from work or to pick up kids from school.
According to the San Antonio Fire Department, two people have been hospitalized after the multi-vehicle crash. The wreck occurred shortly after a speeding vehicle was reported to the San Antonio Police Department, and EMS was called for a trauma call at this location just before 3:50 p.m…
