WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – We are waking up to lingering showers and storms across southern Kansas. Expect the activity to move out by midday leaving us partly cloudy and much cooler than Wednesday. A forecast high of 85 degrees would be the coolest afternoon temperature in Wichita since June 26.
After a cooler and quiet night in the 50s and 60s, temperatures will trend back into the lower 90s on Friday. However, another cold front tracking across Kansas will bring additional showers, storms, and cooler temperatures to the state tomorrow night and Saturday morning.
The heat will build some on Sunday, and more so on Monday, as temperatures top-out in the lower to middle 90s respectively. This hot spell won’t last long as, yet another cold front arrives on Monday night and Tuesday with widespread showers and storms…
