WASHINGTON (CN) — A D.C. resident who was previously convicted of unlawfully possessing a firearm and robbery was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Thursday for committing two shootings near the Anacostia Library in Southeast Washington that injured two separate women.
Joseph Knight, 32, had pleaded guilty on April 8, 2026, to two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a person convicted of a crime, one count of aggravated assault while armed and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon.
