The Asheville Greek Festival will celebrate 40 years when it returns to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25 and 26. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day in Asheville’s Historic Montford neighborhood.
Holy Trinity has hosted the community celebration since 1986. The festival once took place downtown before moving in 2010 to the church’s campus at 227 Cumberland Ave., where the congregation can welcome visitors into its kitchen, event center and sanctuary.
The event shifted to a drive-through format from 2020 through 2022 under pandemic restrictions, then resumed in-person gathering in 2023. The 2026 edition continues the food, music, dance and faith programs associated with the full festival format…
