GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) — A Goose Creek resident is thanking a police officer for going above and beyond after severe weather knocked her American flag from its pole.
Mary Ellen Meyer says she returned home after the storm and noticed her flag was missing. She soon discovered it had been carefully folded and placed on her rocking chair.
Goose Creek Police Officer Shawn Buckman found the flag while patrolling the area. He returned it to Meyer’s home, but when no one answered the door, he folded it and left it safely on the chair…
