PARMA, Ohio — Discount grocery chain Marc’s announced it intends to close its distribution center in Parma and lay off 55 workers.
Marc Glassman Inc., the chain’s parent company, filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services saying the distribution facility at 12200 Corporate Drive will close. Layoffs are expected to begin Nov. 10 or shortly after.
The company’s notice did not say why the facility is being closed…
