1 in custody after prank call reports shooting at Upstate hotel

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Deputies said one person is in custody after a prank call reported a shooting in Greenville County on Thursday night, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the Super Lodge on Mauldin Road after a shooting was reported.

Investigators entered a room based on information provided to dispatch, according to the sheriff’s office.
