What Happened
Around 3:30 a.m. on July 9, 2026, two men allegedly carried out a coordinated armed home invasion at an apartment on the 800 block of NE 121st Street in North Miami.
The victim, paralyzed from the waist down and reliant on a motorized scooter, was home with a woman at the time. As she was leaving, Jamarcus Malcolm Brooks, 27, rushed through the open door with a handgun, demanding money and marijuana and threatening to shoot both victims…
