Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse coach Fran Brown said freshman wide receiver Calvin Russell III practiced Thursday and will undergo further evaluation on Friday as he gets closer to a return from an Achilles injury.
Brown said Thursday night after practice that Friday’s test could help determine whether Russell plays in Saturday’s game against California.
