NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The fourth annual Feel the Rhythm of the Drums Festival is returning to New Orleans Saturday, Oct. 3.
According to a news release, the festival will bring together over 100 artists and cultural performers from across the world for a celebration of African and Afro-Caribbean music, dance, heritage and community. Organizers said the festival will feature international and local artists from Africa, Guyana, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Haiti, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago and New Orleans.

Featured performers and cultural groups include, Okan Y Miel (Cuba), CULU & N’Kafu, Bombazo Drum and Dance Company (Puerto Rico), Grupo Yurumeina, Watotos Kumbuka, Culture Ties Drum and Dance Company (Haiti), Tamojunto (Brazil), Congo Square Preservation Society and Majekfingers Drumming Ensemble.
