The Idaho Statesman’s staff has been significantly reduced following sweeping cuts by the newspaper’s parent company.
In a statement Thursday, the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild said McClatchy Media is laying off 33% of its unionized employees at the Idaho Statesman and four Washington newspapers. The cuts include 10 journalists in Idaho and seven in neighboring Washington.
