Scouting Get-Together: The new Cub Scout Pack forming in the area will have a “get acquainted” night on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. at the new Gervais Fire Station. This is for boys and girls in grades K-5th who are interested in joining the Cub Scouts. The newly reforming group has a Pack leader, but is in need of more adults and children to help make it viable. This Cub Scout Pack is for parents and children in the Gervais-Woodburn-North Marion areas.
Book Group: The Canby Public Library’s book group meets at 2 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month – September through June in the Magnolia Room. September’s meeting will be on Thursday, Sept. 17. The book to be discussed will be “Worthy Brown’s Daughter,” by Phillip Margolin…
