A North Carolina resident is drawing attention to what he said is a striking sign of drought at Lake Townsend in Greensboro: water levels have fallen so low that he was able to walk onto ground that is normally submerged and record video from what appeared to be the middle of the reservoir.
In a TikTok video, Greensboro-based creator Joe (@peasywulf) said the water at Lake Townsend had fallen to an unusually low level and warned that nearby reservoirs appear to be under growing pressure.
