After an approximately $9 million federal grant fell through for a popular teacher residency program at Virginia Commonwealth University, some additional state funding is helping fill the gap.
Earlier this summer, Virginia lawmakers signed off on an additional $1.5 million in general funds for VCU’s RTR program, for a total of $3.7 million through June 30, 2028.
