Woman dies in fiery collision on Highway 108/120 east of Oakdale, CHP reports

A head-on collision Thursday night killed a driver on Highway 108/120 east of Oakdale, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The name of the woman who died in the fiery crash, east of Lancaster Road, was not reported in the news release. It said she was driving westbound in a 2017 Honda sedan that crossed a double yellow line and hit a 2020 Ford pickup truck headed east. Officers were dispatched at about 8:30 p.m., along with firefighters.

The truck driver, Tamara Brown of Jamestown, was wearing a seatbelt and had minor injuries, the release said. The CHP is still investigating whether the deceased driver used a seatbelt, and whether drugs or alcohol were involved…
