Lafayette Parish schools announced personnel moves on Friday that impact leadership at J.W. Faulk Elementary School.
Alysia Messa, who has been principal at the school for the past two years, will now serve as Director of Risk Management for the school system. She came on board at J.W. Faulk at the start of the 2024-25 school year when it joined the LPSS Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Initiative.
The ACE Initiative is currently in place at J.W. Faulk, Alice Boucher and Dr. Raphael A. Baranco elementary schools, and provides resources to build a culture of school and academic excellence through a partnership with the Pugh Family Foundation. The ACE partnership has been funded through the 2028-29 school year.
During Messa’s leadership under the initiative on campus, J.W. Faulk attained its first “C” rating in the school’s history. She has served in instructional and administrative roles with LPSS for 26 years…
