Former Montana State and current Nevada head coach Jeff Choate threw shots at his former rival, Montana, this week.
This is a big week for the Nevada Wolf Pack, especially for head coach Jeff Choate.
Not only will this weekend be a big test for them after a 49-14 blowout win over Western Kentucky last weekend, the first time in nearly 1,500 days that the program was over .500 at any point in the single season. But the Wolf Pack hosts the reigning national champion Montana State, a program that Choate helped build back up in less than a half decade, going 28-22, including 19-9 over his final two seasons, which featured its first FCS semifinal appearance in over three decades.
Over the last several days, Choate has been very open about the matchup not being personal; for him, it’s just another game, albeit one against one of the best teams on the West Coast (yeah … I went there). But, in doing so, the third-year Nevada head man was still poking and prodding at the (Montana) Grizzly bear this week…
