Ex-Ohio State QB Lincoln Kienholz gets his first win in glowing performance

Lincoln Kienholz made the decision to transfer away from the Ohio State football program, and it looks like that was the right decision.

Just two weeks into his Louisville Cardinals career, Kienholz has shown that he has the chops to be a starting quarterback. In the first half of the Week 1 loss against Ole Miss, he looked lost and overmatched. That has been put in the rearview mirror, as Kienholz had a huge game against Villanova.

Lincoln Kienholz shows it was a good move to move away from the Ohio State Buckeyes

In a Week 2 victory over Villanova, the former Buckeye quarterback finished 16/21 for 332 yards and two touchdowns through the air. On the ground, he added 42 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. He was the best player on the field, and he didn’t even play the full game.

Of course, this game was just against an FCS opponent. The Wildcats won’t be confused for Georgia anytime soon. Still, it was an impressive performance for it being his second-ever start. He was in total command of the offense, and he’s showing he is good enough to be a starting quarterback in the Power 4…
