FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was found shot to death after Fayetteville police responded to a welfare check Friday night.
The Fayetteville Police Department said officers arrived in the area of Pelt Drive and Carlyle Street west of Murchison Road around 7:49 p.m. after being asked to do a welfare check. When they got to the location, they found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
