EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A man was arrested overnight after police say he tried to break into a home he claimed was a fraternity house.
According to a police report, Evansville police officers were dispatched around 3:50 a.m. Saturday to a home on Southeast Riverside Drive for a residential break-in in progress.
When officers arrived, the homeowner reported that someone was trying to break in through the back door. Police said they found 22-year-old Keith Fuller at the back door and placed him into custody.
According to an arrest report, Fuller told police that his friends had dropped him off and told him the residence was a “frat house.” Officers said Fuller could not provide the address or a general idea of where he was and claimed the fraternity house was a large white mansion.
