HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Hillsborough County leads the state of Florida with 95 cases of locally acquired dengue fever.
As the county continues to lead the state in dengue fever cases, Requinn Nicollette recalls her horrific experience with dengue fever two years ago.
“I had bug bites on the back of my legs, and it was actually popping my blood vessels,” she said. “Dengue fever can do that, so it looked like I had horrific bruises on the back of my legs, and that’s what freaked doctors out the most.”…
