Remembering 9/11 with Field of Flags at a local popular battlefield

The sound of bagpipes playing Amazing Grace echoed through a Civil War battlefield in Cobb County Friday. They were called out by name: 2,977 names. And for each and every one, a large American flag.

“You hear the number of people who were lost. But when you see the flags, it really brings it home for you,” local resident Lauren Porter said.
