METAIRIE, La. (WVUE) – Metairie resident Taylor Darden is suing the Jefferson Parish Water Department over his bi-monthly utility bill. At issue is his May-June bill and how he says it spiked while he was out of the country.
“99,000 gallons of water use. 99,000 gallons along with a bill for $1650. What makes it more interesting is during the billing period, I was in Europe the entire time,” said Darden.

In his suit, Darden says he hired a licensed plumber to inspect his property twice, but the plumber found no leaks…
