Johnson needed to show up for only one half to defeat Odessa on Friday at Heroes Stadium.
Led by Jaguars senior quarterback Elvis Estrada and a stout defense, Johnson (2-0), ranked No. 1 by the Express-News and No. 6 in the Class 6A statewide rankings, rolled up 28 points in the second quarter on its way to a 37-0 win over Odessa in a game that was called off after halftime due to severe weather.
