HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon and four misdemeanors on Friday in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred in mid-August.
Michael Donjuan Rhenatto Kane, 29, of High Point, was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill following a crash involving a Jeep Cherokee SUV Kane was driving near the 1900 block of North Main Street in High Point, according to the warrant. High Point police classified the vehicle as a deadly weapon used with intent to kill a man.

The High Point Police Department said Kane knew and should have known that the vehicle he was operating was involved in the crash. The crash resulted in property damage and dented the driver’s side door and frame, according to the warrant.
The misdemeanor charges include hit-and-run, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, reckless driving to endanger, operating a motor vehicle while license revoked and displaying or possessing a fake, altered, canceled, or suspended vehicle title, registration card, or license plate.
