A Sonoma County, California, jury found former Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli liable on Friday for sexually assaulting seven women and ordered him to pay roughly $13 million in damages.
The civil verdict follows claims spanning nearly two decades. While the allegations first surfaced publicly in 2021, the incidents described in court date from the early 2000s through 2020.
A 2021 investigation by the San Francisco Chronicle originally reported that four women accused Foppoli of assault between 2003 and 2019.
