It’s been about a year-and-a-half since Lunds & Byerlys closed in downtown St. Paul, leaving the neighborhood without a grocery store.
That will change this month, with the planned opening of an Aldi at 115 10th St. E. While representatives for the German discount grocer have not responded to a request for comment, the company has posted an opening date at its website.
A sneak peek is schedued for Sept. 23, with a grand opening on the calendar for the following day.
The company further states that the first 200 customers on Sept. 24 will get a golden ticket in a promotion that could earn shoppers a $100 gift card. Additionally, the first 200 customers will get a bag filled with Aldi products…
