Two people were displaced after a house fire damaged a home in Cold Springs on Saturday, but firefighters were able to rescue two pets and prevent the flames from spreading to nearby homes.
According to Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue, crews responded around noon to a small, single-story, single-family residence in Cold Springs. The home was unoccupied when the fire started.
