Stray Showers Today, Mostly Sunny & Warm Week Ahead!

TODAY:Sunday is going to be much drier than Saturday with that ridge starting to build in. A stray shower can’t be ruled out but expect more sunshine today with afternoon highs climbing into the low to mid 90s.

WEEK AHEAD:The ridge continues to build through midweek, helping our temps climb to the mid to upper 90s Monday and Tuesday under mostly sunny skies. Good news is, our humidity levels will be down, so heat indices will only get up to around 100° both days. Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs backing down to the low 90s as that ridge does start to break down. A front approaches the southeast on Friday, bringing back the chance for some stray showers, with isolated showers around Saturday as that front will be draped across our area. Highs through the weekend will be in the low 90s.

TROPICS:Except for an area of disturbed weather in the mid-Atlantic, overall, the tropics remain mostly quiet as we have reached record-breaking territory. This is now the latest we’ve gone into a Hurricane season, without seeing a hurricane, and it doesn’t look like things will change anytime soon…
