RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WGNS) – Extreme heat and rising humidity will push temperature feels like readings well into the triple digits across Rutherford County this week.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville issued a Heat Advisory for counties west of the Cumberland Plateau through Tuesday (September 15th) with peak heat index values ranging between 105 and 109 degrees across the area.
In Murfreesboro and throughout Rutherford County, Monday (September 14th) starts the week with a heat index reaching 101 degrees before peaking at 105 degrees on Tuesday (September 15th).
