WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — Heavy rain Sunday caused flooding in parts of Rhode Island, creating difficult driving conditions and damaging homes and property in West Warwick and Warwick.

Drivers encountered standing water on area roads. Rob Pascale, who was driving from East Greenwich to Providence, said the trip took about 40 minutes and that he hydroplaned much of the way.
“It’s crazy, man. There are puddles everywhere,” he said.
