Local non-profit donates 25 bikes to children with disabilities in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A local non-profit donated 25 adapted bikes to children with disabilities in Richmond on Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday, Sept. 13, REACHcycles hosted an event at AMF Bakery, located at 2115 West Laburnum Ave., where it donated 25 adapted three-wheeled cycles to kids with disabilities.

The children were pre-selected from the REACHcycles wish list, with each child given a final fitting for the donated AmTryke.

“We’re fortunate to help out quite a few children today,” said James Howard, president of REACHcycles. “You can see it in their smiles. That’s the best part, you know, these days are great.”…
