Appleton man arrested for fourth OWI, authorities say

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say an Appleton man is in custody after receiving his fourth OWI Saturday night.

According to a release from the Wisconsin State Patrol Wrightstown Post, on September 12, around 10:20 p.m., a state trooper conducted a traffic stop on a black SUV after seeing two moving violations on I-41 near County Highway S in Brown County.

While approaching the vehicle, the trooper observed indicators of impairment. He then conducted a roadside investigation and arrested the driver for OWI, fourth offense.

After obtaining an evidentiary blood sample, the driver, a 73-year-old Appleton man, was transported to the Brown County Jail…
