Kansas City car club celebrates 50 years of Ford Mustang history

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – There was a Mustang meetup with some serious history on Sunday!

Car-lovers packed a local Ford dealership for a classic car show, all while marking the 50th anniversary of the Mid-America Mustangers.

The Independence-based group was founded in 1976 by 11 people who had a love of Mustangs and their preservation. The organization says they have now grown to over 60 members all over the Kansas City-area.
