What could go on Wichita schools land traded for city parks? What we know so far

City leaders are having early conversations about what they would do with two Wichita USD 259 elementary school properties if they swap two parks with the school district.

City Council members Joseph Shepard and Maggie Ballard said there are lots of questions to still be answered, but the city has had preliminary talks about exchanging parks for two nearby school properties so the school district could rebuild those schools on larger parcels of land.
