Phoenix is headed for another triple-digit afternoon. The high should reach 102 under sunny skies, with only a slim chance of rain during the day before storm chances begin to creep higher this week.

Sunday Brings More Triple-Digit Heat

Sunday will stay sunny, with light and variable winds below 10 knots and a low near 86 overnight. The National Weather Service Phoenix forecast puts the daytime rain chance below 10%, so most outdoor plans should stay dry—but very hot.

Storm Chances Increase Monday Through Wednesday

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives Monday. The better odds remain east of the city and over higher terrain, although isolated storms could spread into parts of the metro.

Rain chances rise Monday night and again Tuesday night, reaching about 40% Monday night and Tuesday night. Any storms that develop could bring brief heavy rain, sudden strong winds and blowing dust, while localized flooding remains a concern in heavier downpours.

Heat Builds Again Late Week
