Burlington, N.C. – Western Carolina women’s golf returns to action Monday and Tuesday at the Elon Women’s Invitational, hosted by Elon at the par-71, 6,225-yard Alamance Country Club. The tournament marks the Catamounts’ first appearance at the event.
WCU is one of 15 teams competing in the field, joining fellow Southern Conference members The Citadel and Wofford, along with Tennessee Tech. The remainder of the field includes host Elon, Coppin State, Howard, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, Presbyterian, Queens, South Carolina State, USC Upstate, William & Mary and Winthrop.
Competition begins Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The opening day features 36 holes of continuous play, followed by the final 18-hole round on Tuesday. Western Carolina is paired with Elon and Wofford and will begin play across the first three holes…
