WAYNESVILLE – — Drew Yeagley shot a bogey-free 6-under-par 65 to lead the Elon men’s golf team through the opening round of the JT Poston Invitational on Sunday at the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club.
Yeagley sits in second individually after his six-birdie performance, while the Phoenix is tied for seventh in the 16-team field after posting a 5-under 279. Elon is seven shots behind first-place Virginia Tech (-12, 272) and just one shot outside of the top five.
