KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville Police Department officers took a man into custody in Lonsdale Friday morning, saying he was found with weapons and drugs on him.
In a Monday announcement, department representatives said officers were doing walking patrols when they stopped a man acting suspiciously. It happened near Pascal Drive and Cornelia Cartwright Avenue.
“Following continued investigation, officers found that the man, identified as 26-year-old Sovereign Matthews, was in possession of a loaded assault rifle, a loaded handgun and nearly 200 grams of marijuana,” KPD said…
