MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – For more than 60 years, students at the University of Mobile did not have a Black Student Union on campus. That changed with the founding of the organization by Kaden Raby, Izaiah Hemingway, Jaileb Ballard and Stephen Mixon.
Founders spread the word on campus
The group used social media and flyers around campus to invite students to the first interest meeting.
Kaden Raby, a sophomore student-athlete, is the founder and president of the university’s first Black Student Union.
