A recent tragedy on the Historic Side of The Villages has reignited residents’ concerns over the lack of sidewalks and the dangers of pedestrians sharing narrow streets with vehicles.
The issue was brought to the forefront during a meeting this past week of the Amenity Authority Committee. Residents expressed deep concern about the scarcity of sidewalks in the Lady Lake and Lake County portions of The Villages, particularly regarding safe pedestrian access to Spanish Springs Town Center.
