(BCN) — A Petaluma man with a warrant was arrested Sunday on suspicion of battery on an officer, the department said. At about 10 a.m., an officer recognized 34-year-old Francisco Perez walking in the area and knew he had a warrant out for his arrest, according to police.
An officer approached Perez, and the two stopped and spoke. However, police allege that during the contact, Perez shoved the officer and then fled on foot into a nearby business. Police pursued him into the business, and he allegedly continued to actively resist being taken into custody.
