First Alert 6 Weather Day: Scattered severe storms possible Monday

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Monday is a First Alert 6 Weather Day. A storm system will bring the potential for severe weather to the region, with all severe weather hazards possible — including damaging winds up to 75 mph, large hail (lime to hen egg+ size) and a couple of strong tornadoes.

Two Rounds of Storms Expected

Showers and storms will arrive in two separate rounds. The first round will move in overnight tonight into Monday morning. The second round — the more significant threat — will develop in the afternoon and evening hours Monday and is where severe storms are most likely.

It’s important to note: While the potential for severe weather exists, it’s not guaranteed that every location will see all hazards or that all severe weather will occur.
