Man arrested after allegedly robbing SLO County bank, fleeing on Hwy. 101

A suspect was arrested after a bank robbery in Grover Beach on Monday afternoon.

At 12:48 p.m., the Grover Beach Police Department responded to a reported robbery at the Wells Fargo bank at 1580 W Grand Ave.

The suspect was a man in his 40s, who fled the scene and headed northbound, Grover Beach Police Department Chief Jim Munro told The Tribune.

Soon after, he was seen on a Flock camera heading northbound on Highway 101, according to the emergency radio traffic.

A man believed to be the suspect was later arrested by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office in Paso Robles, Munro said…
