Albemarle schools identify more than $500 million in building needs ahead of sales tax vote

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – Albemarle County Public Schools has identified more than $500 million in school building needs, ranging from a new high school to updates inside existing classrooms.

“Albemarle County Public Schools has a number of projects and needs that they’ve identified,” said Jason Grant.

The list Grant described highlights six top priorities. One already has funding — a new elementary school in the northern feeder pattern. The other five are still awaiting funding…
