South Carolina business to pay Buc-ee’s $850K in settlement over alleged trademark infringement

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A settlement has been reached in a trademark infringement lawsuit Buc-ee’s brought against a South Carolina-based apparel company, court records show.

Buc-ee’s previously accused Born United, LLC, of using the chain’s signature beaver logo on clothing and merchandise. In a 2025 lawsuit, Buc-ee’s said Born United sold shirts, shorts, and other merchandise featuring Buc-ee’s federally protected beaver logo without authorization.
