(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash involving a CMPD vehicle on Interstate 77 near John Belk Freeway, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police confirmed.
CMPD said the three people were transported “out of an abundance of caution.” The officer involved in the crash was not injured, the department said.
Queen City News was at the scene and observed several patrol vehicles, a fire truck and at least one ambulance. Most of the emergency response was positioned along the shoulder on the right side of the interstate, while traffic continued moving in the left lanes…
