GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A man who was charged after a young child wasseverely injured in a suspected DWI crash is due in court.
Police say that on August 31, Dominick Ravon Isley, 33, of Greensboro, was driving a Kia east on Burlington Road when he went left of center and crashed into a Kenworth flatbed truck. The 4-year-old passenger in the back of the Kia wasn’t restrained properly and suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.
As a result of this crash, Isley was charged with the following:
- driving while impaired
- felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury
- felony serious injury by vehicle
- driving while license revoked
- child restraint violation
- driving left of center
At court on Monday, the judge read out the charges and explained that the maximum sentence for the child abuse is 88 months and the felony serious injury by vehicle carries a maximum sentence of 59 months…
